February in Napa Valley

Having grown up in Wisconsin, February to me means Winter. And snow. Lots of snow. Still.

But here in the Napa Valley, February can mean Winter. And rain. Lots of rain. Still.

February can also mean Spring.

Usually though, February in the Napa Valley means a little bit of Winter, a little bit of Spring and sometimes even some Summer.

This year here, we’ve had little rain. Too little. Still.

But we’re having a glorious Spring. Even some very Summer-like days.

The tree in our (new) front yard has just started to blossom.

I am excited to watch this tree through the seasons. It about makes up for that Japanese Maple at the old house.
