Finally! We harvested our first tomato: Share It’s been hot here in the Napa Valley. Do you remember that shocking yet sweet feeling of running through the sprinkler on a hot day? It’s hard to believe that another Fourth of July weekend is winding down. Has an entire year really gone by? This year, with Samantha going on five, has been much different than last. She gets a lot of those at her age. Anyway it’s, ah, miraculous how the band-aids help. But somehow I don’t think a band-aid will help here much: After unusually late rains this season, summertime has finally arrived here in the Napa Valley. Remember when you were a kid and how sweet those first days of summertime would be? This weekend, we noticed the first of our heirloom tomatoes. It’s officially (finally) summertime here in the Napa Valley. |
