As I’ve posted previously on this topic, the Harvest Festival here in Saint Helena is truly a family event.
Sure, there’s plenty for adults to do too. But, from the pet parade, to the craft and artist booths, to the food, to the wine tasting tents, to the face painting, to the bouncy house, to the pony rides–there is really something for everyone.
If you’re a local, you just have to go next year.
If you are thinking of visiting the Napa Valley, planning your trip around this time of year would be a great idea. Not only does Saint Helena put on this great festival, the other towns in the valley and most of the wineries–and even restaurants as well as other businesses–plan special events at this time of year.
Plus, it’s just beautiful here now with the vineyards changing color. Um, so yeah, it IS always beautiful here, but the fall is particularly so.

The Harvest Festival always begins with the Pet Parade. As you see below, folks cetainly bring all sort of pets.
But, Samantha’s favorite part is the candy.
