Here’s the a happy, healthy and prosperous 2011.
Today we went to the mall.
I hate the mall.
Samantha - well, she loved it. Especially the play area.
But with all the sneezing, coughing and runny noses that go along with large numbers of young children, I couldn’t help but think of all the germs. Colds. The flu. Whooping cough. Oh my.
So I let her play for ten minutes; then we went and washed hands. Really well.
Although it’s been incredibly rainy thus far this winter - and now the forecast calls for unusually chilly temps - today I noticed buds on a neighbor’s tree just down the street.
I have no idea what type of tree this is (do you?), but seeing this sign of new growth is such a delight.
Kiddo is off from school this week, so our days are filled by juggling her needs, work needs and home needs. But it’s been a slow, gentle time for which I am immensely thankful.
We’ve been treated to quite a few since Samantha received her birthday present.
The happiest of holidays from our family to yours.
We hope you are enjoying this most special evening with the special people in your life.
Have you read this book?
I can’t put it down.
This Rudolph has been on my Christmas tree for as long as I can remember.
What’s your favorite ornament?
