It gets hot here in the Napa Valley.
While many of the larger area hotels have swimming pools, many of the smaller hotels and B&Bs do not.
And, for locals–as we already know, many of the larger area homes have swimming pools and many of the smaller homes do not.
So when the air conditioning is just not cutting it, head for the nearest public swimming pool.
This link will take you to what looks like a very good and very current list of pools, as provided by the Napa Chamber of Commerce.
Of course, I recommend that you phone ahead to ensure you won’t be left high and dry.
Who: It’s up to you, we took kiddo in at about six months (and would’ve sooner but she’s a winter baby and it wasn’t warm enough yet)
What: Well-chlorinated water

When: According to that list, most of the pools are only open during summer; check for hours of operation
Why: Sometimes it gets so hot here that tap water from the cold side is hot
