Woke up at 4am (only because I couldn’t fall back asleep).
Got up at 6am (yes, I tossed & turned that whole time–it was just too dark & cold to get up).
Left the house at 7am (it was still dark and I just hate that).
Arrived at Sacramento International Airport at 9am (love that airport–easypeasy).
Landed in San Diego at 12pm (think I love Southwest Airlines).
Checked into the Marriott Coronado Island Resort at 1pm (after the world’s worst cab ride).
Unpacked, repacked, switched rooms* and ate a cobb salad lunch, all by 2pm (rush, rush).
Changed clothing, registered for the Lifecycle Messaging Email Conference, went to the grocery store and took a deep breath, all by 3pm (exhale).
Been working on tying up loose items at realwork since then (hurumph).
Time for a glass of vino and to sit on the balcony overlooking the harbour towards downtown before heading out to the cocktail reception and then dinner (sigh, sigh).
Here’s the view from my room:

Here’s more of the downtown skyline:

Aw, heck, here’s one more–the San Diego Coronado Island Bridge:

Thinking I’ll go take a walk on that beach before cocktails.
Wishing Tom was here (and maybe that Samantha was at Gaga’s house).
Looking forward to the start of tomorrow’s sessions.
*more on that to come in another post
